Privacy notice
horonox browser demo
Last updated: 31 August 2026
Usage analytics is optional and off until you choose “Share usage”. Declining does not affect the game. horonox stores puzzle progress and preferences in your browser so you can continue later.
1. Controller and contact
Michał Skrzypczak, publishing as least-fixpoint games, is responsible for the optional horonox analytics described in this notice.
2. Scope and hosting platforms
This notice covers information handled by the horonox browser demo itself, regardless of where you launch it. A website that hosts or embeds the demo may process connection, account, or usage information separately under its own privacy terms.
When you play through itch.io, Itch Corp. separately processes information about your use of its services under the itch.io Privacy Policy.
3. Information stored in your browser
horonox uses browser local storage to remember:
- audio, music, fullscreen, and analytics preferences;
- your current and unlocked levels;
- completed levels and saved puzzle progress.
This information remains on your device and is not sent to least-fixpoint games. It has no automatic expiry. The in-game Reset option removes puzzle progress but not preferences; clearing the game’s browser site data removes everything.
horonox itself does not create cookies. The platform hosting the demo may use its own cookies or storage under its policy.
4. Optional analytics: purpose and legal basis
Usage analytics is off until you choose Share usage. Declining has no effect on your ability to play, and providing analytics information is not required by law or contract.
If you consent, the information is used to understand puzzle difficulty, identify where players stop, measure technical performance, and improve the demo. The legal basis is your consent under Article 6(1)(a) of the General Data Protection Regulation.
5. Analytics information collected
horonox may send:
- whether a level was opened, paused, or completed;
- the demo build and game mode, level identifier, number, and tier;
- whether play began fresh, continued, or as a replay;
- elapsed play time, average frame rate, completion status, and counts of input categories;
- an event timestamp, temporary device and session identifiers, analytics SDK metadata, and browser user-agent information.
The device identifier is randomly generated for each page load and is not persisted by horonox or the Amplitude SDK between page loads.
horonox does not send your name, email address, itch.io account details, saved puzzle contents, or exact sequence of moves. Amplitude’s IP-address, language, and platform tracking fields are disabled. Automatic page, click, form, and session-replay collection is also disabled.
6. Processor, data location, and transfers
Amplitude, Inc. processes analytics information on behalf of least-fixpoint games. The Amplitude project is provisioned in its EU data region, and horonox sends events to the EU ingestion endpoint. Amplitude states that its EU data centre is in Frankfurt, Germany.
horonox sends this analytics information directly only to Amplitude and does not use it for advertising. Amplitude and its approved subprocessors may process information as described in its Data Processing Addendum and subprocessor list. Where an international transfer requires safeguards, Amplitude describes the applicable safeguards in its Data Processing Addendum.
7. Retention
Raw analytics events are retained for no longer than 12 months from collection and are then deleted. They may be deleted sooner when they are no longer useful for evaluating and improving the demo.
Information stored locally in your browser remains until you reset the relevant progress, change a preference, or clear the game’s site data as described above.
8. Withdrawal and your rights
You can withdraw consent at any time in the demo’s Options menu by turning off Share usage. This stops future analytics collection. Withdrawal does not affect processing performed before withdrawal.
Depending on applicable law, you may request access to, correction or deletion of, restriction of processing of, or a portable copy of your personal information. Contact contact@leastfixpoint.games.
Because horonox does not retain a stable analytics identifier, include the approximate date and time you played, your browser, and the level involved if available. Even with that information, it may not be possible to associate an analytics event with you; if so, this will be explained in response to your request.
You may lodge a complaint with the data-protection authority where you live or work. In Poland, this is the President of the Personal Data Protection Office.
9. Automated decisions and changes
horonox does not use this information for automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
If the analytics information collected or its purpose changes materially, this notice will be updated and consent will be requested again before the changed processing begins.
